| Pastor Travis Armstrong serves as the Youth Pastor at Crossroads Church.
Pastor Travis and his wife Leah have served the youth of Southern California for over ten years, five of which have been in full-time ministry. They have two children, Madeline and Tristan, who love hanging out with their grandparents in Vista.
Travis was born and raised in 29 Palms where both his parents served in the Marine Corps. After graduating from high school, Travis moved to North San Diego and began to search for what he needed most, a job. While thinking about what he wanted to do with his life, Travis began to ask deeper questions about what he wanted his life to mean. What was the purpose of life? How could he live a life that really meant something? This prompted enrollment in a class on World Religions. By the end of the Semester, Travis had walked to the front of a church and given his life to Jesus.
Travis quickly became involved in several areas of ministry, looking to serve God whenever and wherever he could. While at a Youth Convention, Travis was praying that God would touch the lives of the students in his room and that night God called Travis into full-time ministry. Immediately following the Youth Convention, Travis enrolled at Vanguard University where he earned a Bachelors degree in Religion with an emphasis in Ministry and Leadership.
Travis and Leah are amazed at what God has done in their lives. God has been their provider and sustainer and has blessed them beyond anything they could have imagined. For fun, they both enjoy learning. Leah is about to begin working on her Masters Degree and Travis is currently enrolled in Graduate studies at Fuller Theological Seminary. They are also huge Disneyland fans and frequently visit Mickey Mouse twice a month. |
